چکیده English

This study aimed to elucidate the role of formal and informal curriculum components in the sexual education of elementary school girls in Sarableh city, employing a qualitative approach based on descriptive phenomenology. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 15 purposively selected elementary school teachers from Sarableh city. Utilizing Colaizzi’s seven-step strategy, the components of formal and informal curricula were categorized into 13 subthemes and four overarching themes: peers, family, school factors, and media. The findings indicate that, in the sexual education of elementary school girls, the most influential subthemes were sexual behavior observation, the taboo nature of sexual issues, sheltered upbringing, duality in the behavior of sexual education learners, and the easy accessibility of the Internet.
