Presenting a model for Farhangian University internship curriculum (Grounded Theory)

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to develop a model of internship curriculum for Farhangian University. The research method was qualitative (grounded theory). The data were collected through 20 semi-structured interviews with selected professors, experts, specialists and student-teachers who had valuable experiences and publications related to the subject of research by purposive sampling (Snowball sampling). The findings included 95 open codes, 31 axial codes and 16 selective codes. The sub-categories that followed the causal conditions were: time challenge, school capabilities, tutor guidance, tutor supervisory practices, university atmosphere, and school location. The contextual conditions were: organizational climate, students' needs, organizational structure, frameworks. Teachers, teachers 'personal bias, students' differences. Supportive structure. Outcomes were: negative attitude of supervisors, individual competence of supervisors, increase of professional competence, promotion of learning culture, promotion of self-efficacy culture, negative attitude of teachers, and positive attitude of teachers. A comprehensive curriculum that covers all contextual, environmental, technical, and information aspects of the internship was also found to be a central category.
