Journal of Curriculum Studies (J.C.S) is the first scientific research journal in the field of curriculum planning in Iran. The journal's owner is the Curriculum Studies Association. The first issue of the journal was published in winter 2005. In this fourteen-year period, Dr. Mahmoud MehrMohammadi first served as editor-in-chief from 2005 to 2009 (Nos. 1 to 14) and then Dr. Nematollah Mousapour from 2009 to the present (Nos. 15 to 55).

Frequency of publication and language of publication:

The periodicity of the publication is quarterly. The editors of the journal receive and publish original and complete scientific-research articles and review articles that have been in line with the journal's priorities and have not yet been published in any other journals, conferences, or books, following an initial review and adjudication precise process. Also, the introduction and critique of curriculum textbooks is accepted if presented in the journal template. The main language of publication is Persian including detailed abstract in English. Therefore, this journal is ready to receive articles from various researchers from all over the country in their respective fields. However, due to the policies of the journal's authorities for the presence of the journal in prestigious scientific bases, the journal is prepared to receive and review complete scientific articles in English to obtain permission to publish them in a special letter and or publish specific numbers.

To accomplish the mentioned goals, they were announced under three titles: "Trying to Review Works," "Focusing on Scientific Criteria for Reviewing Articles," and "Announcing Priorities and Areas of Priority for Paper Production."

The charges of reviewing and publishing articles in the journal:

Submitting an article for the journal and conducting the review process in this journal is completely free of charge, but publication of articles accepted in the journal included 3,000,000 Rials charge according to the approval of the board of directors of the Curriculum Studies Association.

The process of reviewing articles in the journal:

The submitted articles are initially reviewed by the journal's editor and the confirmed its relevance to the journal's field of study, then the articles are reviewed by the editorial staff and each article is sent to at least 3 reviewers. After a careful refereeing process by at least 3 referees and approval by at least 2 referees and making the necessary corrections, and final referee confirmation, the article will be published on the Web site and in its anticipated issue.

Cost of access to archive articles:
Since the main policy of this journal is to promote and spread science among all scholars around the world, access to all archived articles of this journal is free.

 

Author and publisher rights:
The officials of the journal follow the copyright ethics and protect the material and intellectual property rights of the articles published in the journal.

Ethics in the Journal:
Since honesty in scientific research is the basis of the work of the journal's editor-in-chief and editorial staff, the journal has always strictly sought to prevent fraud and biopsy. Therefore, prior to reviewing and publishing articles, they are evaluated by special similar finder software, and the same action is taken during the review process. In addition, for the sake of transparency in dealing with misconduct in the field of publication of works, this journal uses the guidelines by Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and has acted in order to become a member of this committee.
