Designing and validating an environmental education curriculum based on sustainable development indicators and citizenship education for high school students based on the Fullan’s approach

Abstract
Abstract: The aim of the present study was to design and validate an environmental education curriculum based on sustainable development indicators and citizenship education for high school students based on the Fullen approach, which was conducted using a qualitative and synthesis research method. The research area was texts related to the Fullen approach in environmental education, from which 42 sources were selected purposefully. In order to validate, 10 experts in the fields of curriculum planning and environmental education in Isfahan were selected purposefully. The results showed that this program was designed with the general goal of creating a global perspective on the issue of the environment and sustainable development and the specific goals of teaching environmental literacy, creating ethical norms, strengthening the culture of environmental protection, respecting international laws, and cooperating to solve problems. The content of this program included interest, environmental knowledge and skills, ethical norms, and conscious commitment. The learning-teaching strategies section covered student-centeredness, effective teaching methods, and the role of the teacher. This was followed by how to evaluate, group, resources and facilities, and educational times and places.
